CyBi®-Cellight is a scaleable assay platform for flash luminescence-based assay systems (such as Photina® photoprotein from Axxam). Three standard configurations are available for the typical procedures and throughput demands of assay development, primary and secondary screening aplications.
Screening for calcium release in cells using the flash luminescence signal generated by Ca2+ activated photoproteins utilize simple yet reliable protocols. Cells are cultivated in flasks and directly dispensed onto the compounds, which are added to the assay plate first. This supersedes the need for long incubation periods for cell growth prior to adding compounds. In addition, it is possible to perform agonist and antagonist screening with only one set of compounds. CyBi®-Cellight consists of a CyBi®-Well or CyBi®-Well vario parallel pipettor for low volume transfer of compounds to assay plates, a CyBi®-Drop 3D non contact dispenser for addition of buffers and the CyBi®-Lumax flash HT reader where cells and reference agonists are added to the diluted compounds. CyBio's Stackers provide storage of compound, dilution and assay plates. All modules are linked with the CyBi®-Ways patented reliable plate transport system. For this protocol incubators, lid handling and scheduled processing are not necessary.
The CyBi®-Cellight is an affordable and proven solution with a small footprint for flash luminescence screening. It meets the requirements of state-of- the-art flash luminescence screening. Upgrades of the system with additional automation components are available.
